Default ZC Pro needed, OBD1 ZC dizz to obd0 zc harness.

Well here is what we are working with here. We have a obd0 ZC in a crx, it is the two plug distributor. The bearing on the distro went out so we ordered a new obd1 dsitro. from dsitro. kings. it is two plug as well. but on the OBD1 dsitro there are two extra wires.

What i was going to do was i was going to take the two plugs off of the obd0 distro and put them on the obd1 distro so that it would just plug in. The whole reason for going with a obd1 dsitro is later down the road we are going to do obd0-obd1 conversion with a p28 so that we can run crome and boost it.

Now, if i take the plugs off of the obd0 distro. and put the two plugs on the obd1 dsitro there is going to be two extra wires. What do those two extra wires go to? I assume something that the obd1 ecu needs to see, but for now with running the obd0 ecu everything should be find leaving the two extra untouched correct? Here are pictures of the plugs that we are working with.

OBD0 distro plugs.

OBD1 distro plugs.

Notice that there are two extra wires on he obd1 big plug? Just trying to figure out what they are...

Yeah in other words it's a MPFI dizzy like all others. Just get yourself a DX distributor or run your wires from your 2nd cam sensor into the dizzy like normal wiring for MPFI. My ZC CRX had a bad dizzy when I bought it and I used a plain old DX dizzy and it works fine.

where you using the ZC wiring harness? becuase the ZC wiring harness is a two plug. SO basically what you are saying is those two wires we don't have to hook up because of the fact that the odb0 ZC allready has the CAS on the exhaust cam and is pluged into the wiring harness.?
