250whp is not easy to get. shoot for a more attainable 220-230whp.

you're going to have a difficult time hitting 250whp even with 84mm.... like stated above 220whp is much more attainable.

PS. for 7k you got an excellent buy

youre stupid.

ive had roughly 250whp dynojet(imagine bradstards setup, but with an RMF 3" header and 92mm crower crank, in a 92 hatchback). Youre going to spend 10-15k if you know what youre doing, and know the right people. You dont sound like you know what youre doing, or know the right people.

You do realize that 250whp is quite a feat all motor... You're talking about a LOT of work, and a LOT of money. I'm going with JUN headpackage with JUN-IIIs, 85mm bore, 92mm stroke, 11.8:1CR, and supporting modifications (Intake/exhaust systems to accomidate), and I'm going to be crossing my fingers for 230-235whp... 250whp is a lot man.

And you're sure as HELL not hitting 250whp on stock ITR cams, hahaha.

FOR ALL THE HATERS...!!!!

i am the one he is talking about.. 220whp with stock intake and stock intake box with k&n drop in filter is what the car made at the time.. and still just a 1.8l..

dont be so quick to judge.. im sure some of you have seen me post plenty in the R forum..

and to greg.. 250whp is not going to be easy.. acheiveable but not easy or cheap.. if i were you i would just build it for boost. im not a fan of turboing a type r, but knowing you and your dad i know you guys wont be happy unless you boost it...

It's hard to understand what he's saying. I was under the impression he was saying 220whp on a stock motor with "smaller headers and stock intake", which I believed he might actually believe is acheivable, as he did say he was trying to make 250whp, and then he asked if he should upgrade cams or not... So it seemed believable that he would say that.

Understand where we're coming from, we're not hating.

Since it's tuned, I'd like to see the actual dyno plot accompanied with the supporting modifications list, because I find this hard to belive.

i have a link here to where it was tuned by blundar which is a very well known tuner.. but this was tuned on a MUSTANG dyno that consistantly reads 12% lower than a dynojet.. so with that said it put down 201whp so that comes out to right at 225whp on a dynojet..
and this was originaly put in a eg hatch and then put in the type r..

why is this so hard for you to believe?. its not like a have a reason to get on here to lie to people so i look cool.. the motor still has potential for more power with a nice intake setup..

^ Very impressive dcash13, nice setup there.

I can't believe that made 225, seems pretty basic, and it still made great numbers. Gives me hope for my build, haha.

By the way, what valvetrain were you using?
