i just bought the car w/ no start situation. I have spark and fuel from replacing the the whole dist. THe car would crank over w/ a couple tries and then immediately shut off...? whats the problem here?

 

It is a new dissy? I had the same problem my ignitor was fried, would run for a couple seconds then die.

 

you might check your ignition switch..they seem to fail so that your car will crank and sound like its going to start, but not stay on. you can do some simple wiring tests to make sure it is or is not the switch, that way you dont have to buy new parts.

 

ill check it out today again when i get off from work.

 

check your fuel filter also your main relay could be an issue as well

 

Yep it was the fuel filter, guess the gas was frozen in it. The crank over and SNAP gOES the timing belt
