Gas Needle Fell Off Need Help

Hey there eveyone, well earlier today I was installing new gauges in my 05 lx coupe, and as I was doing so the gas needle fell off and when I reconnected it, it was no longer reading the gas correctly. The gas light is on and the needle is showing me at half tank. Is there any way I can fix this problem? HELP!!!!!

Fill up your tank and then stick the needle back on pointing it to "F" while turning on the ignition.

btw, i havean 05 civic also. what guages did u replace it with ? im kinda looking for one with a blue background cuz i dont know how to change mine ...
