Default LS Dyno #'s????

Hey guys I'm not a noob, but I have what some people may call a stupid question.

What kind of #'s should I expect with a 96 LS with short ram intake, and DC sports 4-1 header?

My compression is #1 195 #2 189 #3 194 #4 195 we have adjusted the valves as per spec and adjusted the timing.

I was thinking 115-120 WHP with 105-110 TQ

Well it just pulled 108 WHP and 103 Tq.

The cars has only run for about 20 miles in the last 4 months. It also has 139K on the engine.

Any ideas on what to check to try to gain some power back. SeaFoam, run it with out the exhaust..(clogged cat)

I'm at a loss

My 88 CRX Si has better #'s and is 500lb lighter.... What gives??

Any help would be appreciated.

140hp engine putting 108 to the gorund doesn't sound that far off. You didn't loose any horses, you just never had much more than that.

108whp does seem a little low. try doing basic maintenance on it.

We have done: new cap, rotor, plugs, and wires, fresh oil, adjusted timing, and valves, new timimng belt, water pump.

A/F was good so I guess its just a little on the "low" side

Yeah I know I was just hoping to be in the "norm"

I'm open for any suggestions of things to check. I think that cat is probably clogged.... just because thats an easy fix

A stock D16z6 puts down 110-115whp. Im sure a car with 15 more hp would put down 115-120whp stock. That motor cant be Healthy.

umm if youre trying t increase horse you can pull the ac to grab a little more, but it really sounds like your motor is sick, give it a full tune up

The AC and PS have both been pulled from the car. We have done a compression check and leak down check both are well with in spec, we have done a basic tune up. I dont need to see your dyno sheets for me to understand its a little on the low side. I just bought a cheap test pipe off ebay (cheaper than replacing a cat) and will re-dyno when that gets here.

So dose anyone have any ideas any ideas?

please no more dyno sheets of your stock LS puting out more than 108 it proves nothing.

have you changed tranney fluid. If it is old it might be killing a couple of horses

Oh, and your car isn't auto is it?

No its a 5 speed, I have not changed the tranny fluid yet. I went for a drive in it today for about 2 hours (till it was empty). The car seemed to feel stronger as I went. It was on jack stands for 4 months with about 1/3 of a tank of fuel. I'm going to try some fuel system treatment or seafoam in the fuel and top it off with 93 octane and see how that dose this week. I need to change the tranny fluid too so maybe I will get around to it in the next few days.

Any other ideas guys?

The old broken down gas could have caused the low numbers.

seafoam probably wont help. it'll remove some your carbon deposits, if there's any. think about it.

test pipe and axle back, cheap programable chip and a tune
