I FEEL FOR HIM.....BUT HE IS OFFERING ME THIS TRANSISTOR AND APPARENTLY IT GOES INTO UR AIT SENSOR AND WILL GIVE U UP TO 30HP AND FUEL ECONOMY,,,,,,IM JUST INTERESTED IN THE HP LOL.....DO U THINK THIS WILL ACTUALLY WORK OR WHAT, HAVE ANY1 EVER HEARD OF THEM?????....IT WAS PURCHASED OFF EBAY FROM "BLACKSTOCK PERFORMANCE"

I'll be nice.......all it does is make your intake air temp sensor "think" the air thats goin in your engine is colder than it actually is, and it will SLIGHTLY richen ure fuel mixture...your not gonna get anywhere near 30 let alone 5 hp out of it, your fuel economy will go down...and your exhaust will probably burn black, maybe thats why the company's name is "blackstock performance"
Here's the deal. The IAT sensor is thermistor - a special resistor that changes it's value based on temperature. It is suspended in the airflow and detects the temperature and outputs a resistance which the ECU measures. By unplugging the IAT sensor and cramming the leads from a resistor (bet money it's 250 ohms) in the plug, you're essentially telling the ECU that the air temperature is ALWAYS 212 degrees F. Some people think this works to lean out the fuel mixture. Conversely, if you cram in a 15K ohm resistor, your ECU thinks it's sucking in 0 degree F air, so it will fatten up the mixture. Fooling the ECU does not give you horsepower.
