Default I think I hear a rattling in my head...? :(

The other day I was kinda cleaning - touching up my engine bay cause I was bored... lol...

-95 Integra Gsr
-S2 Pro series IM - DIY Short Ram Intake(K&N Filter) - Power 68mm Throttle Body - DC 4-1 Header - Apexi WS-II Catback

-When I had the car started and I pressed on the throttle cable and revved it up I could hear something rattling in the head... kinda like a sound of a piece of metal hitting the valve spring while it is moving.

-If the car is at idle, I don't hear anything, only when I rev it...

-I took the valve cover off and looked everywhere for some foreign object BUT NOTHING! I ran I powerful magnet over spots that were covered with oil but NOTHING!

-I'm a little worried cause I can't find the cause of the noise! The car still runs just as it always has, still has power and everything from what I know it's fine except for the noise!

Pull the valve cover and see if you have any sticky LMA's
Do a valve lash adjustment

Most of the time this procedure will cure any head noises.

Does the noise go away in VTEC?

It's not like a super loud noise that I will be able to hear in the cabin going down the road... but i've brought it up to around 5K rpm in the garage and it was rattling from like 1K - 5K where I stopped, Vtec is still kicking in strong but I can't here any rattling while driving.

How do I do a Valve Lash adjustment? Do I need any special tools? or just wrenches and ****? I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to most things on the car... so unless it takes special tools I should be able to do it... any write ups?

Also, would you suggest replacing any parts when I do this?

There is a how-to on there for you to read.

You just need a 10mm valve adjustment tool (WORTH IT) and a set of angled feeler gauges.

You don't need to replace any parts.. unless you have a leaky valve cover gasket, but hondabond will fix that.
