Default leather to cloth seats

hey guys i was wondering if i would save any weight by switching out my leather gsr seats for some cloth seats from a friends ls. im gettin sick of these seats because you slide around way too much and they suck in the summer and winter. replies will be appreciated.

If you save any weight it will be very little. I would rather have cloth than leather though. Summer in az + leather =

I don't mind the leather either, and I live in Florida. It's just something you get used to. As for wieght savings, prolly not much. If you're looking to save wieght with your seats get some racing seats and dump the back seat.

i agree about the wieght, it might save some but i doubt itll be a noticeable amount. as far as the sliding goes, just throw some seat covers over em, there are some really nice ones out there.

From what I have read every 100lbs you lose is a 1/10th of a second. So you might, might lose a few pounds if any so it wont pay off enough for anyone to notice at the track. If you want to switch for comfort that is another story.

You dont really lose weight with an aftermarket seat unless you get a ridicuously light seat. like the Mem fab CF seats. (not sure on the weight) I had a Sparco Fighter seat and combined with the bracket and sliders, made the seat a bit heavier than stock seats in my integ and civic
