Default Question about the FG1/2 Stock Stereo

First of all, I am an audiophile and like my music clean. How does the stock stereo system with the sub (I am assuming all Si's have the stock sub) sound? I have a full system waiting to be put in and I plan on looking at the Si's soon as my next car. Also, how do the highs sound (assuming the Si has tweeters and all too)

I have a brand new Pioneer 7800, 300/4, 500/1, and 12w6v2 all waiting to be installed and was wondering if it's hard to bypass all the stock amps and mess with all the wiring. I know how to wire up a system, I just dont know the layout of the amped system in the Si.

Yes, all Si's and Ex's come stock with a 350w, 6 speaker system with a 8" sub. Honestly I listen to my music pretty loud and it always sounds VERY clean. The highs are nice, mids sound awesome and the sub performs good for my personal preferences. If you listen to thug music or whatever you may wanna upgrade the sub but i dont plan on it.

they make dash kits, amp bypasses, wiring kits, etc, etc for 06+'s so adding whatever you want should be fairly simple

Ok, I guess I'll just have to listen to it myself to judge if it's good or not. I really don't want to sell my system because it's too difficult to hook up (don't want to chop up all the wiring to the point where it can not be put back to stock). I would hate to sell my whole system.

HU by Clarion. HU does not use PowerIC, it has an independent amplifier. The sub design uses the trunk (in my 4dr) and it sounds very nice.

The sound system is pretty damn good, sub could be better, and the car could be better at holding itself together under the vibrations, but the sound itself is great.

Its tricky for the wiring and installing the speakers if your deciding to change all the speakers. It took me a long time to install back speakers because it was difficult to reach back.

6 MB QUARTS Speakers Installled. 1000 watt 4 way channel amp powering it= Crystal Clear sound!
12 w7 waiting to install and 1600 watt amp.
I going to install a bass **** controller, complete flush mound +fog light ready.

'06 EX FG1, the sound is pretty good, blows away previous civics really, but I can't help but feel this was designed with electronic music in mind, not classical or rock... Tiesto sounds just right, Underworld & Orbital are right at home, but Verdi well it's okay but it could be better... You'll certainly never feel like you're in the concert hall that's for sure. Rammstein & KMFDM work really. To be honest, it's kinda weak on mids but the tweeters in front do their job pretty well.

At high volumes I sometimes get an annoying vibration from the door handle mechanisms, both sides. I'll see if I can help it next summer, it feels like a slightly tighter spring is what it needs. That's the only vibration problem I've noticed. My '97 LX was much worse, it felt like every piece of plastic in the back was resonating with the bass... I get none of that in the '06.

It's a pretty acceptable standard system really. As far as I'm concerned it's a keeper

Oh and also I have to add that this civic is the quietest *ever* as far as wind & road noise. it's really impressive on that point compared to previous generations.

Mik3 if you dont want to make your life dificult on this civic DONT get the sound kit lol not only its crap for us audiophiles but the stock amp makes it hard to upgrade the sound lol i was having a hard time just understaning the concept , and trust me i do other cars and what upsets me the most my new civic is the one with the issues and i never had issues with other ones as much as i did on my civic.

but i gues you wont have a choice since your gonna get si ( do they come pre eqiuped too? or are optional)? if they are optional and you want a really good deal hit me up i'll give you better deals then circuit city or anything like that and of course new stuff!!!
