hey so i have a 87 civic that has a blown head gasket and tranny problems, and we got lucky because our friend is getting rid of his ls with like 50k. he's giving us the engine, tranny, ecu and wiring harness. so my question is will the ls fit in the 87 civic? im hoping it will because it would be so fast with it.
its far from the eazyest swap ever, no theres no write-up's
plan on spending at least 2000-3000 on swap parts, then the motor
way easyer would be swap a running D16A1 from a 1g teg, it bolts in, and wires up pretty much striat forward and its just a few hp short of the LS

To make it BAR legal you'll need to bring over all the native emissions equipment from the donor car. And I don't think it'd be 2K, 3K in parts, this isn't a K-swap.

im currently putting a B18A1 in a 87 Civic Si and its far from cheep
And if the car isnt a Si you might as well just stop, having to convert to Fuel Injection just makes it that much worse, youll need a Si fuel tank, Pump, Lines, all the wiring and ecu
