Default Suspension question

Hey what up people. I am planning on buying shocks and springs for my car. Im leaning towards a Dropzone set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...WDVW

I was wondering if anyone has this setup and if so, how is the ride, is it too stiff? Too soft? I have a 00 gsr by the way. Let me know thanks.

Honestly, never heard of them. Check the Suspension Forum, they have a couple threads about the top coilovers/shocks/springs being used.

They aren't very good... They're like what some of the tire and wheel shops sell.. I think like discount has them or something... I'd invest in something better

i've heard good things about tokico blues paired with tein h or s techs. if you want a little more longevity math those with some koni reds, either setup should run you more than 450 total

i had this set-up on my old integra, wasnt bad, but my factory shocks went bad after like 3/4 monthes.

how much are you lookin to spend???

if you like skunk2, there coilovers are decent with the tokiko shocks, i know alot of people with this set-up, and its not too bad.

but just remember...you get what you pay for. and with something like suspension, id spend the extra money and be safe...i have the tein basics on my 99DC4, and i love it. kinda expensive but worth it...

Thanx. all i wanted to know is, if they are decent, good to hear they are. For now ill just buy the springs and after a couple months ill get the shocks. They have skunk 2 gas shocks for 200 now. Reasonable price.
So how about some pictures of peoples cars dropped with skunk2 springs?

i have the skunk2 full coilovers and i like the ride, but i don't have any pictures. i would suggest just holding off on that, changing springs is a bitch and you'll prolly break your LCA bolts. might as well just do it once

ya usually the rear lca bolts are a problem. But i changed alot of springs just never had any aftertmarket shocks. Plus changing springs doesnt take me long at all so to me its worth doing the job twice because i want the car lowered asap. i dont like the stock hight look at all.

your going to be hating those skunk's real fast..Soft shocks like oem are only able to dampen very low spring rates. you might be able to get away with Tein. With skunk2's stiff *** springs on a stock shock will result in a bouncy harsh ride. Invest into something more worthy that pays off in the end...read the sig. Do it right or do it twice mang. heres one for starters that is currently on my ride..

yeah like everyone else said, just do it once. I can tell you that i just put some tokico blues on my car paired with some tein s techs. The ride is absolutely amazing. I never thought that i would like the way my after market suspension would feel compared to my oem ****. For the price the tokicos and teins were definitely worth all of the money.

sounds like a good idea. i was looking at the tokico blues too. but as far as the drop for the tein s tech springs go. How much is the car dropped? it sais 2 inches for front and rear. I want my front fender to be even with my tire so its not too slammed or too high. i have a 15 inch rim and the tire is a 55. dohcpwr can u please take a picture of your car from the side so i can see how the drop looks? thanx

Anyone else thinks tein s tech better than skunk 2?

wish i had pictures on this computer of mine... its a really nice drop. although, the springs themselves are a bit bouncy... i'd suggest h&r race. similar drop and much better springs

I've had Eibach on a few cars and I dont think you can go wrong with them. I actually just got an Eibach Pro-Kit. I havent put it on yet but I can wait! I've never been in any car with Eibach that I hated the ride.

I have F2 (Function) and I really like them.

Easy to lower coilover and adjust stiffness of shock.

My friend has omni coilovers. his ride is crap. but hes also riding stock shocks. so idk. i think tein is the best way to go from what i hear. im just curious on how nice the drop is. so far people like the way they ride
