hey guys i have header leaks on my car and yesterday i went to get it fixed. the shop that i went to told me that they couldn't cut out the dented parts on the header because of the way my header is. so i just decided to have him weld close the header leaks. after that was done i drove my car but it still sounds like i have a header leak, though it did get quieter. is that "sound" due to the fact that my header is dented or do i still have a header leak? Thanks

 

did you check other places like where the header and the cat meet, or where the cat and the b-pipe meet?

buy new headers. are yours stock?

 

yeah i checked them and i couldn't find any more leaks except where the dents were. And i have a DC header. i'm gonna check later one more time and see if i missed any leaks

 

dented headers are no good. just spend the extra money and buy some new ones.

Ok i'll take your advice into consideration. i jus have to see because im on a budget . anyways for the reason why my header is dented it came like that. when i bought it, it had the dent and leak. and question i have jdm b16a on a 92 eg. would the header off of a b16a2 fit on mine? thanks

I'd like to know about the header question, too... from what I've heard, it should fit.

 

i say you just buy a new one. .

 

all b series headers bolt onto each other. but its the length of the downpipe to the cat that people mostly are asking. in tahe caes. u might have to get a exahust shop to weld a peice of piping on, or get a test pipe that fits or something.
