wiil 99-00 civic tail lights fit on a 96-98 civic. I tried serching couldnt find anything on it. thanks!!

I put 98 lights on a friends 2000 civic, so i figure they should fit

 

i wanted to swap mine at one point to eliminate that amber.

 

they fit perfect dude

 

can someone post pics of em so i can see the difference? is it just ones got clear and one has amber?

It depends on the body style.

Coupe tailights are interchangeable. I'd recommend getting the outer wire harnesses for the mathcing tailights too though since the different lights use different turn signal bulbs).

Hatch taillights are also interchangeable. (Wire harness parts are also different, so you migth want to check on teh bulbs needed for both years just in case.)

Sedan outer taillights are interchangeable, but the inner ones are not. In order to fit the inners you will need a replacement trunk from the same year as the taillights. Integra SJ taillights look like they'll fit '96-'98 sedans though, and there are sedans in the Phillipines which have red/clear tailights for '99-'00 coupes. (Harnesses are likley also different, but I can't find them all with the taillight section of the EPC and it's time for me to get to bed anyway.)
