Exedy Stage 1 or 2 Clutch?
Alright guys, so I'm preparing my vehicle to be turboed by the end of the summer. As of right now I'm trying to decide on whether to get an Exedy stage 1 organic clutch - http://www.exedyusa.com/race/E...h_Kit or go with the cermetallic stage 2 clutch - http://www.exedyusa.com/race/E...h_Kit . My goals are not going to surpase 250WHP and 250TQ. What do you guys think would be the must suitable? Lastly, are there reputable companies that make a flywheel for the 6th generation of Accords? Thanks
Lol i dont know about accords but i know with my turbo 2000 prelude hitting 260whp. I used the exedy stage 1 clutch and a fidanza lightweight flywheel. And i dragged every weekend for months and it never slipped. All though i did have crappy tires and i blew my engine after a few months because of bad tuning. Good thing about this combo is after i took the turbo off it drove like stock and no extra stiffness in the clutch. The flywheel did it make it harder to match revs on hills but a few days practice and it feels like normal.
Go with a stage 1. I've got a stage 2 in my Accord and it's ok to drive but it's a total bitch when you're in traffic or just generally driving on a daily basis.
