Default 3 1/4" hone too big for cyl?

i bought a 3.25" bottle brush type hone, is this too big for a honda cyl on a 1.6L sohc i just want to scuff it up a lil for stock replacement rings . cyl measure is about 2 7/8"

It will probably be fine, but it will be tight. I would recommend a three stone hone with at least 240 grit stones for these engines.
