3 1/4" hone too big for cyl?

3 1/4" hone too big for cyl?
i bought a 3.25" bottle brush type hone, is this too big for a honda cyl on a 1.6L sohc i just want to scuff it up a lil for stock replacement rings . cyl measure is about 2 7/8"
