Default cluster.

I just got an EK4 cluster and tried to switch the odometers. Problem is usdm and jdm odometers are differerent. The usdm cluster has the miles on top and jdm has them closer to the bottom. Is there a way to roll back the jdm odometer to match the usdm cluster or does the dealership have to do that?

that being said do some math and figure out how many kilo. you miles are at.

Swap the whole speedometer and odometer gauge into the EK4 housing.

the usdm cluster is ~115000, the jdm is ~140000. 140000 km = ~87000 miles. could i roll the jdm odometer up so its the same as the usdm. When I go to get it inspected will i get into trouble for having a cluster in km?

how do i roll the odometer up?

Just write the two mileages on a piece of paper and stick it in the glove box. Then subtract, convert, and add.

i just made the hole in the gauge face a little bigger so it will show all 6 #'s. Now i got the usdm odo in jdm cluster.

You put the USDM odometer show where the JDM trip meter hole is (JDM gauge face on USDM speedo/odo)? Now your speedometer will be off.

it will show mph on the km cluster. i know where all the speeds are so thats not really a problem.

Why not just leave it alone as the JDM unit? Its not gonna matter.
