Default car STILL WON'T start had no spark now i got it????

My car still will not start when I first had this problem the car would unexpectedly stall out and then wouldnt start for awhile then it would start and run again and then do the same thing all over again randomly. well one time when it wouldnt start i checked for fuel (GOT FUEL) then i checked for spark (NO SPARK) so I replaced the whole distributor (new coil and ignitor) now I have spark and the car still wont start. Now it was like 20 degrees out when i did it at midnight lastnight should that effect it????? Whats going on???

I had a similar problem on my H22. Open the distributor and check all your connections again. Make sure all the screws are tight on the coil and that your carbon brush is in your Dist. Cap. Be sure that the 12 volt ignition wire is real tight on the Positive side of the coil. Make sure all your plugs are on right also..Good Luck

Had the same type of problems this week and my car was not getting compression. Why? because it was flooded so much or so long that it needed spark plugs removed, cleaned and dried. Oh, then the trick!!! while the spark plugs are out, take an oil can with a long enough hose to get into the cylinder and squeeze a little oil into each cylinder. This will allow the car to get compression again. You see the gas in the cylinder walls is causing to slick a surface and it doesn't have enough compression to start. Worked like a champ on my car. Hope this helps!!!
