I purchased a 99-00 ex harness for my b20z and I need help with wiring. I am using a LS intake manifold, im not sure if its JDM or USDM but let me know if theres a difference. Also I purchased a 95 LS header, OBD1 p75 ecu and a jumper harness OBD2B to OBD1. This set up is going in my 00 Si (I dont have a Si harness). I wanted to know exactly which plugs need to be extended and if necessary is which plugs need to be swapped. I have a b20z harness as well as the flathead intake manifold if that helps

 

I started another thread before this 1, but the title might have steered away some good advice. Does anyone have a 99-00 ex with a b20z/b20b or using a 99-00 ex harness on anyone of those engines? Is it safe to assume that the 99-01 ls engine would have the same sensors and plugs where the b20b/b20z would have?

 

just put the harness on the motor and make sure not to stretch any wires. whatever plugs cant reach its designated spot, just cut and solder it to make it reach. best way to do it is just take out the tape and loom, extend what you gotta extend, then loom and tape it back

 

yea im running a b20b in my 2000 coupe ex using a ex wiring harness and ob2b to obd1 jumper harness with 95 integra ls ecu and im having some trouble with the idle. I wonder if i need to use a non vtec wiring harness because when i use the stock 2000 single can vtec ecu it idles better but of course since it doesnt have vtec it runs like ****. what do you think the problem could be?

Sorry to hear about the problem you're having. The problem might be your jumper harness or obd1 ecu. Try borrowing a friends obd1 p75 ecu or jumper harness. As for me, I need to figure out which plugs need to be extended, can you help me out?

 

 

you will need to extend only 1 plug which is the iat because on the 99-00 ex/si its on the intake tube and on the Ls manifold its on the #1 runner.
you will have some extra plugs like vtec oil pressure, vtec solenoid, knock sensor, purge valve.

 

IAT plug has red/yellow wiring correct?

 

Besides the IAT, can you tell me which plug from the ex harness goes where on the ls intake manifold? As for the extra plugs, where exactly would they be located during installation?
