FS: 2000 Si EBP, ready to autocross, $10,000 (MD)
I bought this from Mike Louie back in June. He autocrossed it very successfully and took very good care of it for the first 6 years, and I've done my best to maintain the same level of care for the last 7 months. It is modified with the following:
Koni Yellows with GC coilovers (350F, 400R), Comptech rear sway/tie bar with new endlinks, Skunk2 front camber kit, Ingalls rear camber kit, polyurethane suspension bushings, Nuespeed front tie bar, Hawk HP+ pads and new rotors front, Axxis Ultimate pads and Rotora slotted rotors rear, braided stainless brake lines, Comptech Icebox CAI, DC Sports header, Apexi N1 exhaust with silencer, AEM underdrive pulleys, antenna relocated to center of roof, painted headlight housings, Skunk2 short shifter, Pioneer head unit, equalizer, 2 kenwood amps (one mono for the sub, one 4ch for speakers), Boston speakers, and a single 10" MTX sub. Comes with 195/55/15 Nokian winter tires on stock wheels, works fine in all year round though.
Not currently installed is a Sparco Sprint race seat and on its way to me is a wedge engineering bracket for the seat that will come with the car. Timing belt was done before I bought the car around 60k. I adjusted the valves at about 98000 miles. Has always used synthetic oil, either Amsoil or Mobil1. Brake fluid, coolant, and trans oil changed before every season.
At my last summer autocross, my co-driver got the car within a 1-1.5 seconds of two Solo National trophy winners on a 50second course. With better tires (it was on 205/50/15 Hankooks on 15x7 wheels) and a better driver (he hadn't raced a FWD car in 2 seasons) it should easily be capable of trophying nationally. With further development (Koni SPSS, 16x7.5 wheels with 215/45/16 Azenis, stiffer springs, vafc, better driver) this car might be able to win at nationals.
It runs and drives like a champ. The only reason I'm selling it is I want another convertable, so I'm in the hunt for a miata to race in ES. I paid $10500 for it back in June, with the additional mileage I'm asking $10,000. Blue book on a 2000 Si with this mileage is $9850.
