Default Honda Care

Hey guys,
I bought a 03 Accord back in November and got the 100,000 mile honda care warranty with it. The tranny seems to be slipping a little bit and makes a ticking sound when it goes into gear. Ill be getting ahold of them tommorow, but my question is, has anyone delt with these warrantys before? Will they look into this free of charge or does the tranny have to fail before they will consider it?? Just thought someone has delt with this before. Thanks guys.

Well it depends on the diagnose from the dealer, if the trans will be replaced or not; but some tech is going to wish you dead, Honda Care pays even worse than warranty flatrate in a lot of things.
If your car came thru my stall I'd just try to flush it out the door asap; make it an SEP [someone elses problem]
So you understand as in an example;
Normal customer pay for a trans replacement R&R 6 hours flatrate to the tech.
Warranty from Honda pay same job 3 hours flaterate.
Honda Care maybe 2-2.5 hours pay.
So on the warranty pay the tech is paying for the engineers mistakes.
With Honda Care the tech is paying for an insurance gamble/bet the company lost on.
Consider if your boss took the company payroll to vegas and lost it shooting craps, then you have to work for 1/3 your normal wages to pay for his mistake.
Understand why dealers are losing top techs at a never before seen rate?
Dealers want to pay peanuts, they now have monkeys.

Thanks for the reply. Ill have to look into it. THe engine sounds fine when i warm it up or rev the car in N. When i put it in gear is has a minor tick to it, kind of sounds like a desel engine mildly. Any ideas?? It is very minor but to the point where i know something is wrong. Thanks man.

How do you have all those numbers about how many hours they get paid for on certain jobs, I believe you I'm just wondering where you get it.

well Pat[yourself] man this isn't the first time you have tried to bust my chops; so I did put in my original post that this was an example of the pay rates.
Go get a life a$$hole; I've been in the Honda dealership business for over 24 years; If I tell you a tech will try to flush a car because of a low pay flatrate, you can take it as the truth or play your stupid games trying to doubt the reality of the situation. Go Stroke your Dick some where else.
