Reset "Maintenance Required" indicator?
the search on this forum does leave alot to be desired.
Try holding in the reset button and then turn on the key, after ten seconds, or about the time you have a permanent dent in your thumb, the light should flash and go off.

I was curious how to do this on my moms 03 sedan, the owners manual is no help. Must want the dealer to so it.
I will try what you suggested hondadude. Do you suppose it would be the same for an 03 si? My dads needs to be done as well.

The instructions are in the 03 Accord owner's manual, on page 66. The explanation of the "maintenance required" light starts on page 65, and ends with the reset procedure on page 66. You have to hold the button down with your left hand, so your right hand will be free to turn the key. Have a ball.
The reset will only work after the Maintenance Required light stays on. If it just started coming on and flashing when you first start your car, then you have to wait until it comes on and stays on. I know that works on 03 & 04 models that way.
if i remember correctly..
i belive you have to put it on ACC
and then hold the reset button on ur cluster for couple of secnds.. adn it should turn off
give it a try!

The correct way is
Hold the button in
turn the key to on (II) position DO NOT START IT!
It can take up to 30 sec to clear the light
This works if the light is flashing or is constantly on

Wrong, I just reset the indicator on my 03, the same day it started flashing. The instructions are on page 66 of the owner's manual. Hold the button down (left hand), turn the key on (right hand), hold the button down until the light stops flashing. Very simple.

I am having the same issue with clearly the maintenance light on my 06' accord after changing the oil.
The owners manual simply states take it to the stealership and is no help.
I have tried;
Holding the odomoter button and turning the key to position II for 10 to 30 seconds.
The low oil percentage will flash in the display window but the wrench maintenance light will not go away.
Can somebody please provide me the right steps to reset this.
I have tried these methods:

Starting in 06 the Accord has the "maintenance minder" system, and it may work differently. I'm sure if you read the owner's manual, it will have the information on how to reset the light somewhere. Good luck
Gunnis As stated above You have the maintenance reminder system. To reset yours is really simple
Push the ODO button until the oil life comes up
push and hold the button in at this time
It will start flashing....as soon as it starts flashing release the button and then press and hold again.
This will reset your oil life indicator back to 100%
You can do this with the car running....I am not sure if you can do it with the Car in the on position (II) as I have always done this with the car running.
Hope this helps you out!

Thank you very much Sir. This worked no problems. FYI I did this without the car running and the key on position II.
Thanks again

The instructions in my '05 manual did not work... not sure which one worked but I finally got it. I turned my headlights off and dimmed my cluster lights all the way down, then I proceeded to follow the usual reset procedures and it worked
