GSR cams are very good for boost. If you want a little more i would go Type R or a simple Stage one, nothing bigger unless your going hotrod.

Congrats on your motor! What tranny did you get? and where did you get it? I got mine with a B16 LSD tranny at hmotors. I put it in back in august and i'm swapping it into my new hatch after it warms up. Horray for rearended civics!

Is this your first swap, or just a new motor?

what mods do you have? get the basic i/h/e i'd say add on a itr mani, gsr fuel pump, chipped ecu if you haven't yet. If you have all of those mods then start thinking about head work...

running boost with stock gsr internals isnt a wise choice, due to the higher compression ratio. i would only reccomend a few pounds at the most.

welcome to the family of a gsr hatch. i would just stick right with the gsr cams or buy a b16 head w/ gsr cams.

coo thanks guys to all of the advice i just got back from the shop
this guy reall does good work took it in yesterday when he was closing had it done today at 630
well i ran into some problems mainly with the seller
well its a bone stock gsr and the butterflies on the intake mani are off
other than that its stock for all i know.
well we started it and the fan wasnt turning on so we rigged it up real quick to cool down
and then we found out that the thermostat wasnt working.
so now we are wondering was the motor over heated before? we dont know so i am contacting the seller.
then the computer he sold me was obd1 and i thought it was obd2 he never told me otherwise.
then as we were testing the gears the supposedly jdm tranny isnt jdm and the 5th gear doesnt go in at all and it just grinds and its from a 95 and lower gsr not a 96 like he told me well i guess i got what i payed for. so i think it alright
i took it for some test runs and it feels pretty strong to me well stronger than my y7 anyways.

well keep the mods coming i need to upgrade a good I/H/E

ps sorry about the writing format im tired and need to wake up at 4
