Who has the itr 5 lug w/ brakes conversion
After the conversion did your guys brakes feel different??
my brakes arent as sensitive like they were i have to press down alot more than before. I did properly bleed the system twice using the diagonal method I just need some input from others who have done the conversion. maybe its air in the lines or maybe its because i need to swap out my MC. Please share some of your experiences. thanks a bunch
btw:swap went into a 2000 civic si

hmm. im not familiar with the "porportional valve" someone please share some details pictures if availabe. When does this valve typically need replacing? is it one of those maintanence parts that needs replacing after X amount of miles? how much is the valve and how difficult is it to change it.
i guess i forgot to mention that the swap went into 2000 si. I guess ill try to rebleed again. how many reps should i be doing per brake line? thanks.

Pedal feel and effort will change once you swap out the M/C and brake booster.
Did the full conversion (brakes, m/c, and booster) on my Si and am happy with the results.

did you swap the whole conversion at once? I hear that braking will improve once ive swapped MC's for the 1" but I still want to know if the extra play is normal because i didnt swap MC's.

Another thing i noticed when i got home. after i turned the car off i started pumping the brakes and I remember before the pedal would get firmer the more i pumped it plus it makes these croaking pumping sounds. dont know if that helps or is an indicator of what may be wrong.

what kind of difference did you feel? Did you notice anything like what im experiencing with the croaking noises when i rapidly pump the breaks and how the pedal doesnt firm up after pumping the brakes lots of times with the car off.

Did it all at once.
Didn't want to deal with bleeding the lines any more than I had to.
From what I understand, you can use the 1" m/c with the stock Si booster, but I am not sure about pedal feel or travel.
Good luck.

EDIT:
^^^^^^^ I just saw that post...awesome! 8)
I did a conversion on my 00' hatch; I used a 1" ITR Master Brake Cylinder and left the prop valve. I also have Cobalt Friction pads (the sport ones), all i need to do is tap the brake pedal for stopping power.
From your description, it really just sounds like you need a bleeding job. 8)
