Does anyone have any experience with Island Dragway in Great Meadows, NJ? I'm looking for somewhere to go tonight since E-town has the Matco Supernationals this weekend. If Island has a lousy surface though, I'm not going to bother. Just wondering if anybody had some input. Thanks.

 

The Hamptons is good from what I hear.

We used to go there back in the day on street night. The surface wasnt great but you usually get a decent amount of runs in. The end of the track was really poorly lit , but I dont know if they fixed that . In my opinion, its a good track to practice launching, shifting,etc. so then you got your stuff down pat for E-town. If you go, lets see some time slips when you get back. good luck

 

Island dragway A very fast track.

 

Island Dragway = Very GHETTO Track

 

It may be ghetto, but it's better than waiting a lifetime in the staging lanes just to get one lousy pass at overcrowded, ricer/thief infested E-town. Island is low-budget but it serves it's purpose = Lots of time trial passes for test & tune.

******* etown is always packed it sucks but i get my best results there.
is it smaller than atco? cuz that **** is tiny .

 

im not a fan of island's tree at all.

still, like everyone said, its a decent place to practice, last time i went i got in 15 +

 

It is a slow track. I ran .4 slower there than I did at E-Town. This was in my 98 Prelude on a 75 shot. Same mods and always same results.
