how to take off the signal and wiper switches
hey all my switches are broken and i wanna kno how to take off the whole part behind the steering wheel. i took off the steering wheel but then there was this round small metal ting that u connect the steering wheel to that looksl like it was clamped on. IS there anyway to take out the whole part for the wiper swithc and signal? thanx
Remove the steering column plastic. Then the two small brass screws. Use a flathead to pry it out sideways. Unplug the wires going to the switch.
yea buit it looks like u have to remove the whole sterring wheel because it looks like u have to put the wipe and headlight switches the put the steering wheel.

Yeah, I had my steering wheel removed when I did it. I have a JDM ITR non-SRS wheel, so it takes less than a minute to pop it off.

if i understand you correctly you just need to replace the signal and wiper switches.
if thats it all you need to do is take the steering wheel cover off. get a long enough philips screwdriver. and you can reach the two screws that lead to each switch by turning the steering wheel a certain way. you do not have to take off the steering wheel. this will work on 92-00 civics and 94-01 integras. i dont know about other cars. hope this helps

You do not have to remove to the steering wheel. At least I didn't have to when I pulled a wiper switch off 2 days ago

It's not all one piece, you can slide the stalks off of the main part. Mine was in there pretty effin tight though. IMO it's easier to take the whole wheel off. Not really sure what piece you are talking about. Cable reel maybe? It should just come right off. I don't remember anythig being clamped on back there.
basically what im sayin is that the wiper and headlight switch is all one peice and there is the srs ting in the middle with a circle to jus slide the steerin wheel thru. But there is this round ting that hold the acutal steering wheel on. i cant get that off.
