LS will be more reliable due to lower compression......b18b motors are great for boost.
For more horsepower, go with the b18c, just make sure its tuned and built properly... good luck

You can get whatever the hell you want, because if you want to even smell 20psi you're gona need forged pistons with lower compression. The only downside to the LS turbo (aside from missing cam lobes) is that a vtec motor might garner better gas mileage out of vtec

Either motor is good for turbo. I would honestly get a B18B head with a B20 block. The LS motor makes more power in midrange and top end with turbo, while the GSR makes power only at top end(both stock cams).

he said the motor is going to be fully built therefore forged pistons with compression of his choice...so compression is not an issue here. b18c1 would be my weapon of my choice.

Yeah hell if your gonna go with a fully built motor just start off with the b18c. I mean "if money ain't a thang" then go for else go for the b18b. Can't go wrong with either? BTW, what happened to your last engine? How did ya blow it?
