Heavier wheels = heavier rotational mass. For daily driving u wont really notice, but if u ever really tracked it you would.
I even noticed a HUGE different on my CRX when iwent from stock 18lb'ers to 15" kosei k1's, which are 13.5 lbs.
Here's the analogy. Try spinning a full bottle of pop around ur head. A full bottle is a LOT harder to get started spinning than a half full bottle, this is the same thing was ur tires. Furthermore, if u have small arms and are racing someone with LONG arms ( small arms = smaller tires ect.) the small armed person would win because it takes less effort to accelerate the mass. But just like this it works a little bit backwards, once u are up to speed, it is easier to maintain a speed with a larger arm, and why some autoX cars use 17" wheels instead of 15" wheels, plus the smaller profile rubber.
I hope that analogy makes sense, and actually came out correctly.

If anyone tries this, we will want to see a video.
(PS, "pop" is the right word)

Actually, it's called a "Soft Drink", which I think is a huge misnomer, since there's nothing "soft" about acid and sugar. And, it all depends on where you live, as to what it's called. I've always called it "soda" since that's how I was raised, but some people call it "pop", "cola", and even "coke" (also a huge misnomer, since not all soda's are "cokes").

Actually 18.5lbs for a cast 17x7 rim, isn't that bad at all. Would I recommend them? Not really, since I don't like their design at all, but if you like them, go for it. There's plenty worse out there.
