To achive this goal i no that i will probaly have to replace the rods and pistons. i have done a but of research and i kinda have have an idea what do to do with it. i would like to no what rods. pistons and a turbo kit that would work and be sorta kindof cost efeective around $3500 or even less. ya thanks

JE pstons, crower rods, get new valve seals and aftermarket valvetrain. then make a homemade turbo kit. 250+hp easy

3500 is pretty generous for what you are doing too. you could have a nice ride for that.

The key to planning a good setup is choosing the right parts to upgrade and concentrating on the areas which need to be Upgraded to help increase strength for a turbo setup.

Im not sure if you are looking at $3500 just for the engine build or with the turbo setup but, here's what I suggest.

Bottom end:
Pistons 75.5mm 9:1 compression
Rods: Eagle D16
OEM rod bearings and thrust washers
OEM Oil Pump
OEM bottom end gasket set
Fresh Bore. Hone, hot tank, deck

Cylinder head:
Recondition the head with a new 3 angle valve job and resurface
Install new valve seals
upgrade the valvesprings and retainers
keep stock valves if they are still good, no need to upgrade these.

New head gasket
Timing belt
ARP head studs
Water pump

This setup will cost about $3400.00

You strengtened the block internals and put new parts so you're good in that department. And the cylinder head is refreshed so its like new. Valve springs are new and stronger than stock so it can help prevent valve float and be able to withstand the higher rpm boost.

Other things you can do but is not necessary since you arent planning to go over 300hp, is to sleeve the block and port the cylinder head. You can do without those if not planning to go all out with this engine.

any questions feel free to PM me.
