TWO Questions for my 89 Sedan. Bogging from dead stop, and white plugs
Hello HT, I have a 89 Civic With a d15 that has 237,000 on the clock. Here are the issues:
1) The motor runs fine on the highway, and around town, but sometimes (not all the time and usually from a dead stop) the motor will bog when I first step on the gas, then it "catches up" and gets going. (only bogs for a quick second)
2) White sparkplugs. I know this means its running lean, but why??
What is already done to the car:
1) Just did plugs and wires, and compression test ( 150ish across the board)
2) Air filter is good
3) It has just recently been seafoamed
4) No cat at all, straight through exhaust
5) Iacv cleaned and working fine
Help would be great. lmk

your are running lean.. that is why your plugs are white
as to why check your Timing, also check your TPS sensor as far as the bogging.
