Default type-r bottom end build

Pistons - .25 os ctr pistons
Crank - Type r

Now Rods are the question.
Should i use oem type-r rods with arp rod bolts
or

i searched on this issue before, and mostly found that people just didnt have the luck when it came to these pistons.

What pistons would be recommended in exchange of these pistons? jE's or wiseco's being on top of the list most likely, but also what about the p30 pistons in switch of the pcts

I would have to use .25os on behalf of thats the current bore over

A lot of people are quick to hop on the CTR hating bandwagon.

I have them in my LSVTEC with pump gas and I've NEVER had any issues.

If they suck so bad, I wonder why honda put them in the B16Bs in the first place.

OP: ITR rods will suffice.

eagle rods use a floating pin so you would either need to have the pistons machined for clips or run aftermarket pistons. You could also just run stock rods.

save some bucks, stock rods and CTR pistons with some good balancing with fuel and air ratio. tune.
