quick stupid question...

Default quick stupid question...

hello what are them two long things called that hold open the back window on a 92 hatch after u hit the trunk release? because i need new ones but i dont want to call autozone not knowing what im talking about and them guessing what i need.. thanx in advanced

I believe you are talking about #16/17.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, called the "TAY ASSY., TAILGATE OPEN"

If autozone doesn't know what you're talking about just refer to it as "the shock-absorber type thing that keeps the tailgate window open."

much apprishiated, but where did u get that diagram? that would of helped last week when i took the car for an inspection and the guy didnt know how to take off the back lip to connect the 2 wires so he pried on it untill there was enought space for him to get his fingers in there and connect the wires but almost broke it in the process

OEM parts are always big bucks, but they usually last longer than aftermarket so it kind of evens out. At least sometimes.

Also, http://www.hondapartsdeals.com may have slightly better prices, though if you're in CA the shipping price can eat up the cost difference. (SLHonda is in CA, this site is in Rhode Island)

nope there not...the DA's have the same shocks for there trunks too. My buddies shocks went out but luckily i found some used ones for him for $40 bucks...they run for at least $60 or up i think or more...
