K&N Short Ram Intake for the R18's

Default K&N Short Ram Intake for the R18's

just wondered if any of u guys heard about it, cause ive been having to many problems with my CAI and I'm done with it, i was originally looking for a drop in filter but came across the short ram

heres the web site. u guys thinks its a good idea or should i just stay with stock intake?

I didnt even know K&N released a SRI for the R18, mind you I havent really been looking...

I'd say since you had a CAI, your obviously looking to get some ponies out of your R18, so I'd say go for it

I just put one in. The only problem was the heat sheld. I just could'nt make it fit in. So I left it off, but as far as the short ram it went in fine and had no proplems with the MAF sensor.

Don't know how to put pic's on the site, but I do have a digital camera. As far as the short ram, I found it on Auto Anything site.

Posting pics is fairly easy, you'll have to get an image host, such as photobucket.com or something like that, it's free, so if you want to do it......

did you disconnect "remove the coolant hose from the thermostat housing and the throttle body adaptor" ?? as per the intructions....

Yea, that was'nt the problem, the heat sheild would'nt line up to the two screw points to mount the sheild. As far as the pic's I will try this week end to post them

How much was it and was the sound not do bad?

Dose it come with the sticker so it will pass all the laws in Cal.

where did u buy it for $219?

the cheapest i found it on the internet was for $235

Checked the site, the one they have up there under sub-model says it fits the Si, though the actual intake shown looks like it'd fit the r18... but anyway, went into the K&N site and looked up the part # for the r18 short ram: (SR) 69-1013TS

Yes, the # should be on the web site or email them. It shouldnt be a problem they just havent updated there web site on this new item yet. Part # 69-1013TS

hmm i went to there website and searched the part number and got sent to this page but it doesn't let me put the car's information such as the car make and model etc, i'll wait it out a few more weeks
