I'm having the same problems verseone...I wonder if it has something to do with using a pr4 ecu with a wire harness for vtec. I'm in the process of upgrading to a LS/Vtec set up and I had Hasport make me a wireharness to run em out of a 88 DX wire harness. The vtec plugs are not plugged to anything right now, because I'm still on my stock LS motor. I read that some ecu's have different pin locations for the back up lights...I wonder if they'll work once I finally switch to a pr3.
Before you go buy new reverse lights, I'd suggest going to Home Depot or wherever and spending $20 on a digital multimeter. Then you can test for current at various points in the wiring chain before you start replacing stuff.

Ok Verseone, I just spoke to a Hasport tech regarding OUR reverse light wiring...Apparently, there are 2 kinds of combo to the plugs...88 to 90 and 91 to 93 models I think. By the right shock tower next to the fuse box are 2 plugs, a square one that goes to your ECU and a round one that connects to the wires in your engine bay. open up the round plug and there should be 3 little wires on the bottom part...if there's a green wire there, you have to move it to the next level all the way to the left...if that doesn't fix that, then you're f*&*ked...lol, check your wiring, plugs and fuses instead...

Correction...plugs are located by driverside shock tower...there should be a green wire with black stripe...just match it from the connector...make sure that the green wire w/ black stripe (female) plugs in to the other green wire w/ black stripe (male)
It's fixed Verseone...check it out. I simply moved the green and black connector to match the other green and black wire...Wallah! Back up lights working again! next project, my speedometer...it has not worked yet since my swap 2 weeks ago. I need a cable speedgear to work my speedo. The Y1 tranny that I have comes with an electronic speedgear...Anybody knows what's the average rpm on a 65 mph...I'm just playing it by ear...between 3.5K to 4K rpm, I suppose is about 65 mph.
wow you're a genius..LoL..i never thought of calling HASPORT..i have that same DX to Si wiring conversion in my car....I'll try it first thing in the morning..ill let u know how it goes. Thanks bro!
Hmm..I see the green/black wire that goes from the plug to the ecu, but from the engine harness to the plug i see no green/black wire..i see a green one? hmm what do i do...?
I may have made a mistake the first time...Lets start all over...on the driver side shock tower is a round plug. Make sure that the green and black wire connects to something. If not, simply move the female connector to match the male green and black wire...wallah!
