SO i installed itr cams in my gsr, and i hear a valve ticking noise. iv adjusted the valves 3 times, and checked, and re checked countless times. the valve clearance is perfect. the only thing i can think of is the lost motion assemblies. do people install the itr LMA's with the itr cams?

 

I did, but the general thought is that it is unnecessary.

ya, i found those threads in my search, but i dont feel like they answerd my question, i actually fealt more confused after reading them.
if the itr lma is the same as the gsr one, why does my motor "tick" now that iv installed my itr cams?

 

Was the engine cold when the valves were adjusted?

same thing with mine poorman's build... my valve sound like there ticking but it not loud to where you can hear it in the passenger cabin... you can only hear it if the hood was open... but it drives fine so it didnt really bother me and still getting 30-32 mpg... let me know if you figure it out... i'll try a valve adjustment when it warmer over here... haha...

 

I had to replace my LMA's when I put in CTR cams. I just replaced them with newer GSR ones and it got rid of the ticking.
