Well I did a search....and I came up with hey you guess it = Do a search
okay, ive been looking into the whole DPFI to MPFI intensly since im bored, got some money to blow, and want to change my fuel injection.
So I get on the search...and type in DPFI to MPFI.....(how simple is that) well I get 4 responses? and most of them say....People have already answered these ?'s a thousand times do a search(referring to people who have already tried this ? but got the same answer I tried avoiding) whats the point of having a search if I just get answers that tell me to do another search? (now that ive said this im sure all the mod's will get on the search and type it in and give me a about a thousand responses which I would appreciate actually)
Anyways....heres my beef.....I have a 90 CRX si totalled engine is okay.....I have a DX both 90's...well...My dx's headgasket is slowly fading and im burning alot of ****....well besides my oil rings suckin *** i fig. id help out my engine and change the headgasket plus im bored and want somthing to do to my engine. I know Ill need the INtake man. and all the fuel related krap.....BUT should I use the 1.6 head too?? I fig. might as well I mean why not it bolts up and flows a lil better right?
Plus it only has 130,000 on it and my dx has 200,000+++ but since id change the 1.6 head why not do the ECU and Harness to right?? tell me if im outta my ghord or what I shoul do
Change gasket keep stock head= and change to mpfi and do the hard wiring myself ???
or get the SI ecu, harness, entire head, intake man., everything, and put that on?

i made a post a while ago i guess its to far back so here u got its really easy to do
http://www.westworld.com/~joe_r/4gdxtozc.html use that but with the crank angle it on the si distributer so u just hook it up there

hey thanks alot....but do you advise I use the SI head, ecu, and harness, since its available?
ya I read through the wiring its easy as ****, I just didnt know that this was for if I wanted to run the SI ecu....so I can use my stock DX harness with the SI ecu??
If its an SI ecu though should the 4 pin numbers for the injectors already be filled in?

Allright will do....thanx
BUT I still want to put the 1.6 head on my 1.5 block I know this will bolt-on fine...you know of anything I should worry about ??? im keeping the stock 1.6 dist. intact when swapping it over...and Ill also just keep the intake manifold bolted on...so when I put it on it will be right there and all the injectors and such will already be wired in......
Thats why im wondering why not just use the Stock SI harness?? and Ecu....this way I wont have to splice any wires?

cant use the si harness at all it wont goto the same places if it plugs in hondas weird about that....its not alot of wiring 30 minutes tops it ur alright i did it in like 20...but yeh u need a new headgasket for a 99 ex civic best one to use and headbolts for a 88-91 civic will do good but they are a must do not use the old ones
Okay so lets get this all straight...I need=
-Si Ecu
-My stock DX harness
-SI intake man. with all the fuel stuff on it
-Then I can bolt on the 1.6 d16a6 head as long as I get a 99 EX head gasket, and new head bolts?
This will all work fine?
when I take off the d16a6 I am leaving the dist. where it is, the intake manifold whhere it is, basically everything just so that doesnt get all screwed up. sound okay?

yeh leave all the **** there get teh coolant hose for teh intake manifold to the semi thick one itll make it easier for u i have the dx one all bent up...
the heads are teh same teh cam and teh springs are different....i ahev a d16y7 head on my d15b1 btw

you need resistor box it is a box with heatsink on the Si 's that is on right hand side above hood holder. You need a plug for the distroutor on the si and injectors and time to raost tires when done
well I have the entire engine at my hands, im just slowly picking at it, dont want to do anything really major...just need a reliable daily driver for now.....before this car becomes full race and I finally get enough for a b18c1.
Anyways..Ill get the resistor box, and injectors.....BUT the stock plug for the Dizzy should hook up the Cord and plug on the SI dist. right I assume its pretty much the same DIzzy?

It is the same dizzy but uses different pins so you need a different plug to work from. I think the rest is just adding a few wires and lengthining.
You might need a Si throttle cable but im not 100 percent sure

yeah im using the SI t/b cable, basically imagine pulling off the SI head and using everything bolts on to that...well thats what im using.....
at this time I might change my timing belt as well as my head gasket, the water pump is okay....and besides my krappy oil rings my car should be good for a long time now since I already baby it and change the oil ever 2500 miles if not sooner.
For the dizzy...can I use the Si plug from the head....and the SI dizzy should be fine then..right ? as long as I dont try to hook up a DX plug to a SI dizzy...otherwise...it should work out.
