Is the DC sports short shift adapter for the 5th gen just garbage
I am really not happy with the DC sports short shifter for my 5th gen SH. I have had it on for over 10k miles now and it really doesn't seem to be an improvement over stock. It binds up, takes quite a bit of effort to shift, doesn't shift smoothly..etc. I am thinking about putting it back to stock. Can't wait until the Forbidden shifter comes out for the 5th gen..
It neva will...5th gens get no luv. 5th gens suck
. Do the 4th gen shifter cables conversion and by a 4th gen forbidden ss.

98vtec didnt you do the right up on that? didnt you also say you liked the 4th gen cables better anyway? Could do describe it more. Is it just easier to shift or what?

i wouldnt even know where to begin to try and describe how much better the shift feels. I guess it would just have to be you doing the same thing that i did and see how it feels for yourself. I've got the forbidden shifter now as well which makes my shifts that much better.
gives people doing auto to manual swaps some more options as well.

theres also a Lean Racing short shifter. Its a stock replacement with a modified cable mount. But those are kinda rare to see for sale since they arent made anymore.
This might be of some use to 5th genners. He takes your original shifter and welds a new bracket to it to make it shorter. He's done his homework and got it down to where for $50 you get a well designed and strong short shifter
