Default Electric Issues, Interior and Tail Lights

Help, just bought a 99 prelude, kid before had indiglo guages, took those off. There must be a short some where as the tail lights and interior lights to the guages do not work, they short out and if i tap on the fuse box, sometimes i get Lucky. dont want to deal with that any more, any one had this problem before, know what plug it might be. All fuses ok.

i would check the wires running into and out of that fuse that controls the interior and tail lights. Luckily, it is just one fuse. That should narrow down the wires you have to check. And for thrills, replace the fuse anyway....you never know.

this was my first assumption. I had an alarm installed, someone had previously had remote start. It was removed and just had a start one installed, i know the lights still work, when i activate the alarm the tail lights and interior lights flash. It must be between the relay that turns them on. This is my first honda in years, i feel almost foreign to them now.

Fing alarms. If you get a good shop to do the work, it's all and good. If you don't, you'll have wires left bare and just other crapwork(like I had). I'd check under your dash for stripped wires.

There is a fuse in the fusebox that controls those lights......I forget what it's label'd, maybe "Small Light"?

I popped that fuse one night and my dash and taillights stopped working. I knew the dash didn't work, but it was an officer that informed me of my non-functional taillights.....
