I've been looking here recently and couldn't find some of the older threads about this topic. I've been tryin to find the thread with some of the pics of sumped tanks and pump mounting location, etc... I'll be ordering everything I need as soon as I get my tax returns. Any links that any of yall know about or could post of up would be great..

The best setup is to sump the tank and run an external pump. The A1000 is a great pump, just make sure its either level or below the sump. You don't really want the pump higher then the sump. Other than that make sure you run a filter before and after the pump. And you'll probably want something like a -8 or -10 feed, and a -6 or -8 return.

This is what i'm gonna go with. Just wondering about how to mount the pump so that it's level/below the sump. Anybody got any pics..

is the one in line the same "in-tank" style pump? Excuse my ignorance I havent seen someone do this... Doesnt the pump require to be submerged in gasoline to cool the pump? Are you afraid of the pump overheating if not in gas or a cool environment.....

Just a thought

I'm doing the same thing. It's not just an "intank" pump that's run inline. It's a different pump. Here's a pic for reference:

I have a intank walbro 255 hp and another walbro 255 hp inline up on my fire wall all with -8an line from the top of the tank to the rail with a stock return line , and I also running a FJO injector driver with my rc 1000cc injectors , will be good for around 750 whp

What I'll have once the new motor is in:

Full-Race Sump
Dual Bosch 044
-10 AN Feed, -6 AN Return
Y-Block to primary rail w/ RC 750's, and to secondary rail w/ RC 750's
Aeromotive A1000 FPR

Should be good for quite a bit of power

I'm also interested in seeing some dual bosch setups as well. My only walbro in tank is not going to feed a motor with a ported head, mazworx cams, top mount and a gt4202 lol....subscribed

I've heard of them burning out as well, which is why in my mind you can't go wrong with the Bosch 044.

I've been researching this topic as much as possible here lately. It seems to be that most people who are burning up the Aeromotive pumps are not mounting them in the proper way, Level or below the sump. They are gravity fed and if they are ran dry will burn up. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I've found some good links about sump, placement on pumps, ect..

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=577865

https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1

https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=2

Hope this helps.. I'm still up in the air on a few things. like the most effcient way to modify the gas tank for the sump.. etc.. I've got a pretty good idea. So, thanks to those who have posted on this subject.
