I certainly cant complain about the haynes but at the same time i've never had the helms. I have a feeling Helms is better, but it's also more expensive I think
Helms is better by far. I consider Haynes like a Cliffnotes version of Helms. Haynes uses some generic pictures and generic/non-specific instructions in different sections. The quality of the pictures (and also quantity) is also lacking when compared to Helms.
For minor stuff, a Haynes manual is good enough. For major repairs, you'll really want a Helms.

If you're looking for one that shows you "everything", good illustrations and step-by-step instructions, then the Helm manual is what you want.
Like philadd said, the haynes manuals are ok for minor work, but if you're doing something involved that you're not real familiar with the Haynes manual is going to leave you guessing at things.
One look at the two side-by-side and you'll see why the Helm manual is worth the price over the cheaper manuals.

I have found that if your keeping the car for a while, get haynes, chiltons and helms. One manual will cover a certain topic in depth while the other skips it or covers it lightly. With all three, your covered in detail in one or the other.
Too much information is a good thing.

just wondering, but what does the Haynes or Chiltons manuals have that the Helm manual doesn't?
I haven't looked at a Haynes or Chiltons for an Accord but any other car I've looked at one for is vague in either pictures/diagrams or in wording.

I had a chiltons before I got the helms. There wasn't anything in the chiltons that wasnt covered more in depth in the helms. Needless to say, the chiltons was used as fire starter kindling on a camping trip.
