no
its not, is the same bore and stroke as an f22b1 except a non vtec dohc valvetrain, and it cannot be de-stroked since all f22's and h23's share the same crank

and this is NOT an sir motor the motor that came in the sir was the h22a *shakes head* this is one of the base motors offered in the accord lineup, regardless it still has a shitty r/s ratio

i stand corrected, after further research it does have f22 internals...but i was right about it being in their prelude SI instead of the H23

nothing great, its basically a destroked h23, its almost like the H23, it has DOHC and no vtec. its not worth it.

EDIT: it also has the same hp(160) but it probably has a tad bit of extra torque due to the .1 increase in displacement.

actually, i thought the Accord SiR engine was the f20b 200hp 2.0Litre, destroked from an H22? am i wrong? also the S2000 engine is the f20c, only rwd drivetrain.. that engine looks like an H23 to me also

Yeah the accord sir has the blue top dohc f20b and the s2000 has the f20c dohc i- Vtec. I bet you all did not know that any head and block off h23 h23a f20 f22b1 f22b2 f23 will all fit together in driffent ways sohc will fit on a dohc block and dohc will fit on a sohc block but they dont work that well it's kind of like ls/vtec b20/vtec
but with sohc put in the mix but all this is worthless to talk about the best engine 2 get is the jdm h22a it just can not be beat so dont worry about the f20b it's worthless but if you want 2 be driffent then get it but you still cant spank the h22a.

Krashzero is correct. The only Accord to come with an H22 is the Type-R, currently known as the Euro R. The SiR comes with the F20B. Oh, and the Accord does come in a SOHC option in Japan.

Somewhere at my house, I have Accord brochures from Honda dealerships in Japan that show this.

PS, I enjoy NASCAR.
