hey wassup guys so i got my new clutch installed this past week and whenever i push the clutch all the way down it makes like a lil whinning sound and it wont go into any gear. but if i let the clutch out a lil bit than it stops making that sound and the gears are easier to get into. so i was wondering what could the problem be?

sounds like a pressure plate issue, either that or your bearing was misinstalled. If it's the plate, you are over extending the fingers when the bearing pushes into it and feasibly hitting the disc...if it's the bearing chances are you have a bearing that slipping to one side of the pressure plate and not riding correctly. You might want to take the trans down and see what the deal is before you cause yourself more issues.

oh alright so its an issue with the bearing? thats gonna suck if it is. and not to go against your word but does anyone else have any idea what it could be?
i dont know but it also happened to me and its fine now no whining now its on the da that i drive everyday..seems fine after it broked it...first after i switched the clutch it did that do but i was like forget it i dont have the time to take it off and on so its fine now...
My clutch only has about 10K on it, and it makes a horribly squealing sound when the clutch in released completely. I am pretty sure my issue is the throw-out bearing. You might have the same issue.

well the mechanic that installed it said that the whinning should go away once i drive the car around for a while because he said the "fluid pressure?" is building back up or something but i ahvent seen any difference since ive drivin the car around for about 50 miles. i mean i dont have time to take out the tranny again and have the mechanic look it over but iono i guess ima drive it around for a lil wihle till the clutch is broken in and see what the deal is. also iono if any of you guys have a DA but whenever the clutch is out (pedal is out) the car makes a sound like something rolling but when the clutch is in it goes away. it did it on my last clutch also so what could it be?

Did you try adjusting your clutch cable to see if the noise would stop? And the "rolling" sound is probably your throw out bearing. Mine did the same thing before I replaced it. Good Luck.
Sit in the car in neutral with your feet off the petals. Put your foot on the clutch petal ever so slightly and slowly depress without pulling the plates apart. The squeaking should get higher in pitch and continue pressing down on the clutch untill the squeaking stops. The problem is in your throwout bearing
THE FIX:
Look directly down at your clutch from the top of your bay and notice a small piece of metal vibrating causing the squeaking. Use a tube to guide the lubricant down and into the rubber sleeve under the vibrating metal. After you do this the squeaking should stop.

my throwout bearing? but i got a whole new clutch kit so it was a new throwout beating. and so if i look over the engine bay area where the clutch would be sitting there should be a place where i should put more lube?
when you installed your clutch did you put the guard back on? if not then water and anything else you pick up on the road gets in there and the water will make it squeak and after a while may as well buy a new one, and it may make ur flywheel rust

That definitely sounds like the throw out bearing. Mine was damaged and caused 2 teeth on my clutch to bend. Now I'm back to stock.

ok well i had the mechanic come back and check it out since he has some other things to do to my car and he added more lube in the lil hole thing on the tranny area on top of where the clutch should be and than loosened up the clutch cable a lil bit and the noise is no longer there!! hahaha so yea thanks everyone for all your help. maybe other people can still use this thread if they are having noise in there clutch
