need help with crx...thanks in advance. starts then dies.
ok, here we go... My honda is a 1988 honda crx with a d15b7 block and head...stock...it was running fine...so i decide to get a pgmfi manifold and items to go with it to make it similiar to an si. basically changing 2 inj. to 4 inj. get her all together and now i have beyond checked ever single wire and none are wrong...i have done this many times b4 on my friends hondas and everything has always worked correctly...so now i get shafted..!!! intake came off a 92 honda civic pgmfi...distributor is obd1, computer is pm6 obd0. everything worked well of my old honda, so i dont see a problem with the items i put on 88 crx. when i let the fuel system prime..aka when check engine light comes on and then off its done priming injector rail...it will start then die out...as long as i keep doing this it always starts but will not continue to run...I have replaced fuel pressure regulator and still same thing...When it does start it purs fine, but then will die out instantly...so i know my wiring is ok, as i have checked it who knows how many times...What could be wrong..? Thanks in advance, bill. e-mail is ghetoriger12@msn.com or pm me anytime...
die no matter what i do. I just cant seem to keep it running. wierd thing. on the ecu i get only a steady blink every two second. no codes are thrown.
i spoke with a shop that has done this and told me u can...also, i have wired it in matching colors and checking schematic...if i can't use it why would it start then die out...? or is that the ultimate cause of my problem..? thanks, again...
OBD-1 Distributors pump out a different signal rate than OBD-0 Distributors, as a result, OBD-0 ECU's can't understand what a OBD-1 Distributor is sending so it assumes all those sensors are disconnected / not working, hence, car cuts out.
