A question to all you electrical geniuses.
Hello electrical gurus,
A while back my CRX was having starting issues. After much diagnosis and parts swapping, it tunred out to be the wire supplying power to the ECU and main relay was fried. It was supposedly repaired but it turns out the guy just spliced into another wire that provides power to the intermittent wiper circuit resulting in my engine shutting off whenever my wipers are turned on. I've been lucky enough that the weather hasn't required the use of my wipers but time isn't on my side. What would be the easiest way to remedy this? I'd rather not have to rip out my dash and rewire my whole harness. Plus, this car is my DD so it needs to be back on the road by Monday so I'm looking for the easiest solution. Thanks in advance!

Well the wire going to the starter is it's on seperate wire. You can go to a scrap yard and screw/unbolt it out of any EF and put it in yours. Then jsut delete the wires your mechanic or whatever hack job professional put in there.
Hmmm...not sure about your answer as my issues are with getting power to the ecu and main relay. Unless of course the wire that powers the starter also powers the ecu and main relay as well. Can you clarify please? Thanks!

That wire, normally red/yellow I believe, is supposed to come from the ignition switch itself. Most any switched circuit might work though, if you can find a good point in the fuse panel to tap off from.
EDIT: I neglected to mention two important points. The ECU should receive power from the ignition switch in both the 'run' and 'start' positions. The ECU powers the main relay. (When the ignition is first turned to run, and when the ECU sees the engine is spinning)

So, if I basically replace that re/yellow wire that runs from the ingition switch that should solve my "wiper kill switch" problem? Sounds easy enough.
