the brake light in my dash cluster is comeing on. I check the brake fluid and its fine, but when it starts to come on its making my driver side marker turn off, does it sound more like an elctrical problem than mechanical?

 

sounds like a short somewhere. Usually its just a sticky switch from your e-brake...used to have that problem but, it did not affect any of the other lights.
