Hey, I got a 1995 Integra Special editon (stick shift)....i bought a aftermarket cd Player stereo for it. and on the stock stereo it says "Anti Theft" but that just for after you reconnect the battery you have to put that stupid code in. Well i tryed to get the original stereo out, i got the glove box out, the ashtray and ciggertte lighter out...but right above that is a black plastic like paper holder??...i cant seem to get that out...i tryed prying it out and it cracked the edges. So i drove the car with the dash all ripped apart still (haha) down to the auto parts store and bought a repair manual for the car and in there it tells you how to get the whole dash out but never says how to get that stupid plastic thing out...when i pry on it...it comes out alittle bit...and the stereo starts to come with it but then it stops and wont come any further.....Please Help


P.S.- I guess that anti Theft really wasnt joking

Did you release the two screws on the back of the radio? They are accessible from underneath. Prepare to bleed.

 

i have pull out soo many screws....but if i release them will the whole stereo come out?....if it will then no i guess i missed them....thanks alot

You need a long, Phillips screwdriver. You access the two screws vertically. They are on a bracket at the very back of the radio.

 

ok thanks alot....the car is actually in Pennsylvaina right now in my race car shop....soo when i get back up there i will take a look at it...
