Dash removal
anyone have a diagram or anything on where all the mounting points are for the dash. I need to take out my factory radio and CD player but cant get back to it. I asked in the audio forum but they are too slow to respond. I have a 96 integra LS specail edition, idk if the specail edition is any different from the others. Thanks for your help.
Do you want to actually take the dash out? Or just the radio/CD player?
I don't know about the dash, but the radio removal is easy. If you look at the center console are on either side of your footwells, you'll see a black screw on either side. Take those out. Then take out your ashtray. There should be a couple of screws in there. Then under your E-brake handle, there is a little plastic cap. Pop that off with a screwdriver, and there should be another couple of brass colored bolts/screws. After that, grab the rear of the area where you took out the first two screws and pull back and out. It's clipped in, so you have to give it a good firm pull.
As soon as you do that, you'll see some more exposed screws. Just look at which ones you'll need to remove for the radio, it's pretty easy.
Good luck.
EDIT: I don't remember 100%, but if you can't pull it out because the center console armrest is in the way, on the back of the armrest thing, there are two more screws on either side, remove those and the whole armrest will come out. Then you'll have room to pull the center console back.
