Default Damn Ice

I'm so pissed at myself. Took 10 months and 15k miles to happen. Coming to work yesterday I took a turn a little faster than I should have and didn't see the ice. Smacked into the curb doing about 10 mph. From what I can tell, I need a wheel, front lip, windshield washer bottle since it leaked all out and some brackets. I also tore the bumper from the screws where it attaches to the fender. Oh and an alignment cause she's really pulling to the left now. I know I need tires. They were delivered to me today from TireRack
Insurance company cut me a check already. Total damages $2016.84

Isn't it amazing what 10mph can do to a car? Well sounds like your insurance company took good care of you. Sorry for the damages bro! But hey be thankful......it could have been ALOT worse like some of the horror stories i've seen in here. Stay up!

At least your insurance company already cut you a nice check. That should easily cover everything.

Sucks about the incident man. At least you got your insurance money quick to start the fixing process.

so how much will your insurance go up?

I'm in the same situation...the damage probably $2500

I have progressive. No claims, except my recent comprehensive one (hit and run)

and I have 2 speeding tickets in the past 2years... one of which was over 20mph..

Does that have any affect on how much my premium will go up?

same thing happened to me man--- took a turn too fast :X

Well this is my first accident in 8 years so they let the first one go for accident forgiveness since I have a good record. No tickets, no accidents. I'm paying 172/month I have Allstate and went to the drive in claims center. He took like 30 pics went in the office and typed up the estimate and printed the check. I was also lucky enough to get to show him a small chip in the rear wheel and small cut in the rear tire from a parking incident the 3rd week I had the car so that was included as well since I forgot and said it was from this incident...lol. Deduct 470 from what they gave me for the real damage from the hit

Allstate.

I have one person who PM'd me yesterday on 8th for the lip but if it falls through, you're next on the list.

I think I'll try that DIY I saw for fixing rims....lol

You're one of the lucky ones bro. Some guy down here got crushed into a K-rail by a semi during our ice storm down here. He's dead! You're alive. Stay up!

How much you looking to spend? I have a front lip with a decent scuff on the passenger side. It's not quite as bad as the one above, but I'm not doing anything with it. Let me know!
