95 GSR JDM Climate Control Question
I have a 95 GSR and my climate control is crap. I found a JDM climate control supposedly from a 95 GSr and want to know if that electronic motor will just bolt right up to where my cable thing goes and if it works but then if it does how does the valve on the firewall open and close will it still be cable??
The picture you posted looks exactly like the one i found and to be honest with you i am new with this integra stuff. Its my first DC2 so i dont really know what stuff swaps with what eventhough things tend to be generally the same for honda's. I have searched about this and i dont know if im just not understanding this but i know the "auto" wont work. But what im trying to get to is i dont want a cable actuated hot/cold lever anymore because i have the worst luck with them and almost every honda ive owned its been broken or i broke it and i just thought having it motor operated would be an advantage?

You're going to be in for a challange.
I have the JDM Climate Control, to make everything work you would need the motor and 'airbox' assembly behind the dash. The main problem is that those parts are made for a RHD, so it wont work on a US car. Also, the JDM system uses a separate computer box, mainly for the climate control function. However, it might be needed to make the motor work.
You'd be better off trying to make an Accord or Prelude 'airbox' (which dont use cables, they use motors) fit into the Integra. Much more work than it's worth.
After discovering all this, I ended up pulling the 'face' off the jdm climate control and swapping it with the US counterpart. So everything works like stock...cable and all...but has the look of the JDM climate control. Seemed like the only to make it work.

Then it won't have the 'auto' look.

Why is that? You have to switch the mechanism in the back to LEFT HAND DRIVE and it works fine. I'm using a JDM ITR Climate Control.

The ITR climate control is cable based not electronic like the SiR-G.
