Front or rear? In the rear you take off the two 14mm strut-hat nuts (not the middle one) and you remove the bolt at the control arm. In the front you remove the bolt from the LCA - 17mm bolt and nut - and remove the 14mm bolt from the strut-to-fork clamp behind the shock. Then loosen the two top 14mm nuts and it'll come right out.
Why can't you get the strut tower nuts loose?

Damn man ive been trying for like 30 minutes... the tower bar i already loosened the middle bolt... the one that you use the allen key for... but the other two bolts on the tower are (on each corner of tower) unbelievable.. they wont come out... and they were just out about a few months ago when i got my springs changed. and I used wd40 like 3 times.
yes you should...wouldn't want to break anything precious...go to a auto parts store and rent their spring compressors...not sure how much, but they aren't that expensive either...good luck with your spring swap..hehehehe...not too hard if you really look at it...a few bolts here and there...and voila..if i had more time, i'd explain it a lot more simpler...but good luck
