IF ANYONE WOULD LISTEN.the brake lights turn on. so the system has juice .it just doent go where needed.what car is this in.look at all the large fuses that bolt i to tthe fuse box under the hood.check all the wires like people said.just to be safe try checking the wires for the igtion switch.i had this problem with my old vw.it may have burnt a wire out when the y hooked the jumpers the wrong way.good luck man.
It's either you missed a ground, or overlooked a fuse.
It's usually the main fuse under the hood. Under the hood means the box on the passenger side of the engine bay near the firewall. Those will go out if there is a short or if the jumper cables were hooked up backwards when trying to jump the car. And that is most likely what happend in this case. The one that goes out should have been the 80amp BLACK fuse. They have a clear top to see a blown fuse. Make sure you check again.

You need to get a voltmeter on the 80A and 50A fuses under the hood, there should be 12v on both sides if the fuse is good.
Try jump starting it again, but connect the negative cable directly to something metal on the engine or tranny, and the positive to where the large wire on the starter, then turn the key. This bypasses the battery cables.
Put the car in nuetral and touch the positive jumper cable to the spade connector on the starter, this bypasses everything!
You're not doing your bosses daughter, are you?

hahaha... no
but i am 100% sure every fuse in the fuse box under the hood is not blown. and i pulled every fuse under the dash aswell. i tryed connecting jumper cables from the ground on the battery to the tranny. and to the frame. nothing turns on. except the brake lights.

Exactly.
After they jumped it, is that when EVERYTHING stopped working? Did they have to jump it "twice"? Here's what you do, if you are SURE you have ZERO shorts, which could be in a number of places. I had a short from my ghetto wireup of the "Gear in park" trick when I swapped from Auto > 5spd. You buy a new damn 80amp fuse, and replace the old one. Then see if it works. Regardless of if "you checked it" or not.
